Throw out the Rocking Chair!

Why ease into old age?

Why listen to the creaks and give in to their whimpering?

Why make smaller meals and eat more fiber and linger over prune juice?

We refuse! Brian and I are tossing the rocking chairs, dancing into middle age and inviting a few beautiful children to come along for the ride.

Yup. Brian and I are adopting two little boys from Haiti. It’s going to be an amazing ride and we positively can’t wait to bring them home… It will take nearly two years, but if you’d like to hear the tale, see the pics, and meet our two little boys (maybe even pray them home quicker), click here and and plug your e-mail into the e-mail subscription box on the right side of the page. The first post with pics comes out tomorrow. If you’d like to find out how we ended up on this unlikely road, click here for the back story – it’s a humdinger.

I love our God!

Oh, Elsa, congratulations!! This is really strange because I just had a passing thought a while back along the lines of, “It’s too bad Elsa and Brian didn’t meet when they were younger so they could have had kids together.” Apparently you’re still young enough. 🙂

I can’t wait to see pictures of your boys and pray they come home soon.

What an awesome story and more amazing tales to come. Our family knows of those ups and downs of adoption. Our daughter was blessed with a beautiful baby boy ( was even there for his birth ). A year and half later, recieved a letter from the birth mom wanting to know if they would be able to take his 2 full brothers. At the time they were talking about a second adoption – but how could they say no to the brothers that could spend the rest of their lives together. So instant family…..GOD MADE. That is the only answer. So keep the faith – He will get you through this amazing journey. Good Luck and lots of prayers.
